Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC), in collaboration with Robinsons Easymart (RE), proudly launched their Adopt-A-School Milk Feeding Program with a vibrant kick-off activity at Mayamot Elementary School in Antipolo City last 5 September 2023. The event marked the beginning of an exciting partnership aimed at nourishing young minds and promoting the importance of proper nutrition among schoolchildren.
The Adopt-A-School Milk Feeding Program, a flagship initiative of AMC under AlasKalusugan, has positively impacted Filipino children’s lives for years through strong collaboration with the Department of Education. By providing nutritious milk to malnourished and severely wasted students, the program aims to address malnutrition and support the overall well-being of these young learners.
The kick-off event at Mayamot Elementary School was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents, and representatives from AMC and RE. The event was filled with fun activities, educational games, and engaging presentations that emphasized the importance of a balanced diet and the role of milk in supporting schoolchildren’s growth and development.
“AlasKaramay,” the partnership between AMC and RE, raised 120,000 glasses of milk to feed 100 schoolchildren for 120 feeding days. During the event, AMC and RE turned over the said quantity of milk, equivalent to 167 cases of Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink, to Mayamot Elementary School. This donation reflects the two companies’ commitment to promoting the welfare of Filipino children and empowering them to reach their full potential.
“Ito pa lamang ang simula ng mga susunod pang pagtutulungan ng Alaska Milk Corporation, Robinsons Supermarket Corporation at ng Department of Education sa pagtataguyod ng malalakas, matatalas, at malulusog na mga kabataan na pag-asa ng ating bayan,” said Diane Lourdes Reyes, National Key Accounts General Manager of AMC. “This is a testament of Alaska Milk’s purpose in action of nourishing Filipino families through affordable nutrition – indeed an Alagang Alaska in action.”
