In 2019, Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) looks up and looks forward, as it stands on the shoulders of two giants: Royal FrieslandCampina (RFC) and B. Grimm Thailand. Starting next year, AMC will harness the great power of the sun, as it brings together FrieslandCampina’s more than 140 years of global best practices in dairy development, and B. Grimm Thailand’s 140 years of world-class leadership and expertise in the energy and health care industries. This landmark agreement also marks the convergence of purpose between two local companies, AMC and Netsolar, who are both committed to uplifting the lives of Filipinos, the former through providing affordable quality nutrition and the latter through affordable clean solar energy.
- Grimm and Netsolar have agreed to provide AMC and RFC with the facilities for solar power in two phases: 1. Phase 1 of a 3MW with a total turnkey project, including all necessary equipment, materials, and design, manufacturing and installation services; and Phase 2 of a 3MW Roof Mounted Utility-Interactive Photovoltaic System, in the Alaska Milk Corporation Plant located in San Pedro Laguna. AMC has not only set its sights towards a sustainable path of doing business, but has also steered the entire company into a trajectory to support a greener future for the Philippines.
AMC marks its 47th Anniversary with such global distinctions as HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia and Top Community Care Companies in Asia Award in the 2019 Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Awards. AMC Managing Director, Marco Bertacca beams with pride as he declares, “We will not stop here. We will continue to climb. Our commitment to improve the lives of Filipinos, is not only for the here and now, but also for generations to come. We stand on the shoulders of giants, so we can look out further into the horizon, into a greener, cleaner and more sustainable future!”
